When I was a kid, I used to play this Hide and Seek game, which would grab my soulful mind to realize, that the more, one is hidden, the better is for him to win.

Has this also become the case with society? Is the world really thinking about the opportunities, one can achieve if one follows this game’s core fundamentals and perspective of action? Are the pillars of society based on the thesis to hide the paths, so that others cannot discover or learn from them?

Are you willing to reveal the secrets, which you dug, to stand out in the crowd? Are you avoiding competition by holding back your known techniques?

Maybe others would also hesitate to share, what they got on their quest.

In case, if you share your excellent ideas of becoming a billionaire, with your colleague, will he also become a billionaire from your ideas, in just one night?

Will you become incompetent in this never-ending race? Are the human minds, just seeking an evil approach? Are we humans really becoming inhumane?

Can you answer these questions while looking at the huge mirror of your unconscious mind? Can you express the fact, if hiding your tactics of becoming a renowned person, really worth it?

Hide and Seek are the two swords, that reside in the same scabbard. One will want to crucify you from within, and the other will ripe seeds of envy, and build a tree of distrust, in your deep forest of subconsciousness.

Hide, in its mere definition is to suppress anything from someone so that he cannot notice or hear what you buried. Seeking, as many believe, goes hand in hand, with hiding.

Many also suppose the idea that if one can mask his life, then he will be the only one to search and prevail a golden chance.

Is it a lie or a truth? I don’t know!

Will it help them achieve more fame than when they uncover their harbor, to advocate and educate others?

Hiding intellectuality is that dagger, which makes a logical person, dumber than the dumbest person in history. Sharing knowledge does not mean sharing power, but it does mean sharing better ideologies with society.

Rather, depriving others of gaining knowledge, will destroy your own walls much sooner.

If I try to steal your thoughts, then I may not succeed in the long run. But if I refer to your mind library, I may be successful to realise, that I was not an expert in that specific topic.

The engagement of experts on different subject matters, over a collective discussion can lead to a great discovery.

According to Bloom’s taxonomy,

Learning is the ultimatum, and knowledge sharing is the most efficient path to get to the desired goal.

Triumphant over other’s core will surely back you to win influential power”.

Self-Centeredness will not help you grow. It will seize you of the precious stone, you were trying to seek from day one of your childhood.

You can be born alone, you can die alone, but can you live alone, can you learn alone?

One might also argue the invasion of privacy. But, am I telling you to reveal your private mobile numbers to me, or your personal mail ids, or your home address? No, not really.

Do you know why covering yourself under the coat can make your life colder than making it warmer? To answer this WHY let’s take you on a tour of this real-life scenario.

An Untold Story

A diligent, ingeniously intelligent employee named Abhay, works in the corporate world of dreams for a renowned company, with the name XYZ Ltd. His work admires his co-workers, and tunes with the likings of the management staff.

His outlook and his broad-mindedness attitude are enough to infuse spark within his juniors. The stream of honesty, with a touch of desire to respect others, is his key moral value.

But, his colleague, Sohail, who has a similar IQ level to Abhay, wants to be competent to comply with a dignified post.

So, to compete with Abhay, Sohail completes some online certification courses and learns few more skills, such that he is being recognizable in his department. But, unlike Abhay, he does not disclose his learnings or even his weaponry of skills to his coworkers.

No one knows what he is capable of. No one knows his key strengths or his mere weaknesses.

One day, Mr. Veer invites both of them for dinner.

Talking about Mr. Veer, he is an ocean of broad thoughts, with a stream of modern perspective, and a desire to dream high. In formal terms, he is the CEO of XYZ Ltd.

The two employees are inflamed with a shadow of hope to get promoted, and also to have the first invited dinner with Veer.

They reach the dining place and are well greeted. After the dinner, and a couple of chit-chats, Mr. Veer intensifies on Abhay’s performance, committing the fact that Abhay has been a better performer, in dimensions of knowledge and morale.

As per the leadership elements, he qualifies for the better prototype, due to his assisting nature. If honesty is the metric, Abhay stands out flawlessly.

After hearing Abhay’s appreciation, Sohail gets overwhelmed in anger, and finally with a rude attitude, asks Veer, about his own performance.

Veer politely handles this situation by questioning, “What are your strengths?”. To which, Sohail admittedly prompts, he has been good at Marketing, and Business Analytics. He has also done certification courses from verified entities.

Veer again answers to this, “We have not heard any such skills from you, as you were unable to communicate your abilities. You did not collaborate on the discussions with your colleagues on certain technical topics, which you knew beforehand. We don’t want a person, who is the worst player in communication. We also dislike the person with no social and moral skills. “

He continued, “The person should be helpful, in every dimension he can, to society. You cannot hide any of your strengths and capabilities, and thus today you were not promoted.”

Sohail learned a lesson that, “No one can analyze a book by its cover. You have to uncover your inner self, to seek new peaks.”

Seeking some golden chance is every soul’s desire, but this dream can only be achieved when one knows how to provide their helping minds.

In society, I have noticed similar Sohails, who are always unwilling to lend any of their imagination, their creativity, their plan of action, or the action which they already performed.

Hide and Seek is always misconstrued by the narrow mindset.
The moto of work culture and social ideologies should be to “
Un-Hide and Seek”.

Never assume you know it all. Ask, share and seek help, great people will fall over themselves to share their skills.

It is unwise to think that you are the strongest, as a single cyclone of distress can weaken the strongest, and strengthen the weaker party.

Human evolution has two steps — from being somebody to being nobody; and from being nobody to being everybody. This knowledge can bring sharing and caring throughout the world. — Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Sharing food for defeating hunger, sharing knowledge for stretching the borders of collective mind building, and sharing the shelter of happiness amongst friends and family members, can help you become a great human in your days of livelihood.
